fantasy camp

Last night I saw wrestling boot girl and her friend again. They dress like pseudo-hipsters. I say that because they're not hipsters in the I-live-in-a-shitty-apartment-in-Brooklyn way, they're hipsters in the I-listen-to-The-Arcade-Fire-and-buy-all-my-clothes-at-Urban-Outfitters kind of way. Not that I think that's a bad thing, for I consider myself a bit of a pseudo-wannabe-hipster myself (95% of my t-shirts are printed on AA stock and aren't "vintage").

Anyway, one of these girls is a brunette and was wearing a Veronica t-shirt (from Archie comics fame). The other girl is a blond and was wearing a Betty t-shirt. Those girls = officially awesome.

I re-watched Old School last night before I went out, which I suppose is kind of fitting because I'm kinda like the characters in that movie, minus the wives and kids and shit. ie. I'm technically perhaps a little too old to be living the college lifestyle. I don't think people realize what a fantasy world it is until they're my age. In real life, there are no bars packed with hot drunken girls grinding each other. That is not real. That is some kind of surreal dream world. No one is having that much fun in the real world. Walk into a popular college bar in London on a Friday night and count how many people are smiling and laughing, have their arms in the air, are "wooo wooo"'ing, chance-meeting friends and aquaintances. Then go next door to the "older" bar and do the same. Chances are you will need a lot less fingers in the older bar.
